What is Hot Rods and Harleys?Hot Rods and Harleys is an all-day event celebrating cars, bikes, and Downtown Rahway. The roads in Downtown Rahway will be closed to everything but pedestrian traffic and up to 10,000 of your closest friends will fill the town to see the sights. We expect over 500 - strike that, 600 - cars in the car show, and hundreds of bikes in and around the show and the surrounding area. We're also continuing with our MusicFest format, which means THREE stages around town with live music! Joining us again this year will be a live broadcast with Q104.3 and Maria Milito on site to share the event over the airwaves, as well as DJ "Hot Rod" Mike spinning tunes. NEW FOR THIS YEAR - Bumblebee from Jaxon's Carnival of Characters will be here to meet and greet with pictures! We'll have food vendors, street vendors, local businesses and of course the taverns and restaurants of Downtown Rahway will be open to serve all the food and drink you can handle. And maybe a few new surprises too! It's fun for the whole family - so don't miss out!

When is Hot Rods and Harleys for 2024?This year's event is May 11, from 11am to 7pm! Cars and bikes will begin arriving much earlier than that, and the road closures will begin at 6am for everyone's safety. Awards for the Car and Bike shows are given out between 3 and 4pm, but the music will continue well past that so plan to stay for the day!

How can I pre-register my vehicle for the event? I can't find the form.Free pre-Registration for your car or bike ended on April 1. After that date, you can still register your car or bike on the day of the event, however, for a $20 fee. Just come on down to the registration table and sign up that morning! Bike registration is at the Train Station Plaza, and car registration is on Main Street, near the firehouse (For GPS, please use the following address: 373 E . Hazelwood Ave, Rahway, NJ 07065. This will get you close, and you can follow the signs from there). Cars arriving after 1:00 p.m. will not be judged , but can enter the show . This is at the discretion of the Registration Personnel. Please read the IMPORTANT INFORMATION for Car and Bike Registration.

I pre-registered my vehicle and am not sure when/where to arrive? If you pre-registered a car, you should have received your packet in the mail, which would include important items such as a vehicle identification card, instructions on where and what time to arrive, and various other information. Please read the instructions carefully to avoid confusion on the day of the event. If you pre-registered a motorcycle, please come to the Train Station to check in, and please approach from West Milton Avenue, as the bulk of downtown roads will be closed by 6am. There was no packet mailed - the information will be on-site for check in. Please be aware of signage pointing leading the way, and that usual traffic patterns may change as a result of the road closures.
-
Where is this event? What address should I use?The event covers 2-3 blocks downtown, so there isn't one particular address. We recommend using the address for Liberty Harley-Davidson, 12 W. Milton Ave., Rahway NJ for the west side of town, and City Hall, 1 City Hall Plaza, Rahway, NJ for the east side. Once you get close to the event, please follow the signs, and be aware that many of the streets downtown are closed during the event, so be prepared to detour from what your GPS may say. For car registration, you can use 373 E . Hazelwood Ave, Rahway, NJ 07065. This will get you close, and you can follow the signs from there).

Where should I park my vehicle? If you are in the car show, they will show you where to park when you arrive at Car Registration. If you are in the bike show, you will be checking in and parking at the Train Station Plaza. If you are not entering the shows, then parking is first-come, first-served around the outside of the event. Bikes can park at Liberty Harley-Davidson. You may find street parking in the vicinity, and you may also find parking in the lot behind City Hall. Please be courteous to our neighbors, and do not block driveways or intersections. As the event takes place literally AT the Train Station, many people will park in a neighboring town and take the train into Rahway. The stop is on both the Northeast Corridor and the North East Coast lines.
